The Club has a Constitution, Codes of Conduct for players and parents as well as coaches and club officials, Safeguarding Children Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy, Anti-Bullying Policy and more. Our committee, coaches, and managers are all qualified for their specific roles and hold the relevant qualification documents, including the enhanced CRB checks.

South Ashford FC was formed in early 2007 under its original name, Ashford United Football Club, in response to a manager seeking sponsorship for his own team. After several discussions with the manager and other interested parties, it was decided to take things further and form our own club, which lead to the birth of AUFC.

In November 2008 the club’s committee were asked to take over rival neighbours Bocca Juniors FC to save them from folding. After various discussions, agreed to do just that. Which saw both clubs benefiting from joint training sessions and events, allowing Bocca to continue for the rest of the season.

In June 2009 it was decided that Bocca Juniors and Ashford United would merge under the new name, South Ashford Football Club.

SAFC was chosen to reflect that the new club would be providing organized football to South Ashford and the surrounding communities.
